CEO’s Message – 3rd Quarter 2018
Dear Valued members:
It’s hard to believe that we are almost at the end of 2018. We are proud of our accomplishments so far, and we are enthusiastic about ending the year on a positive note. Over the last quarter we have experienced significant changes in our operations in that the Portmore branch was officially opened to the public on Monday September 3, 2018. This new branch located at shop #6 Caribbean Estates Plaza, Portmore will provide our membership and the wider community with a wide range of products and services like what is offered at all our other branch loca-tions. The branch is strategically placed to serve members within St. Catherine and nearby parishes and the branch hours are Mondays to Thursdays 9:00am – 5:00pm, Fridays 9:00 – 4:30pm and on Saturdays from 10:00am- 2:00pm for our members convenience.
We are all extremely excited about our expansion into St. Catherine as the branch will provide additional con-venience to our existing members as well as new ones. I am pleased with the progress that we’ve achieved to-wards making doing business with us a better experience, and our promise to you is that we will continue to im-prove upon our service delivery channels to ensure that we become your ‘one stop’ financial institution of choice.As a co-operative, our single goal is to improve the lives of our members and unlike the banks and other financial institutions we provide you with lower rates on your loans and higher rates of return on your savings and investments.
If you have not already done so, take advantage of our Special Deposit or our Golden Harvest accounts which pays interest rates as high as 8% and 7% respectively. Not many financial institutions can boast these rates of returns so spread the word and encourage your family members and your coworkers to become a member of our Credit Union. I want to encourage you to take a moment to evaluate your current relationship with us and give us the opportunity to help you improve your financial situation. We listen to you each day, then capture those con-versations to drive our future plans. We have set new goals to continue our successes, as becoming your financial institution of choice is our number one priority.
